Ispirato da Eric Clapton e Jimi Hendrix ancor prima di nascere, Davide Pannozzo è descritto dalla critica come uno degli artisti di contemporary blues più interessanti della nuova generazione. Il suo stile, estremamente originale, è stato descritto come un perfetto blend tra lo stile di Jeff Beck e di David Gilmour.
Inizia a suonare la chitarra all’età di sei anni, diplomandosi in Chitarra Classica al Conservatorio Santa Cecilia di Roma. Si esibisce in innumerevoli club e festival, in Italia (Pistoia Blues, Ameno Blues, Blues in Town, Accadia Blues etc.) e all’estero (The Bitter End in New York city, Bass Player in Los Angeles, IBC in Memphis, Ronnie Scott’s in London, Fete de la Musique in Paris, International Jazz Fest in Bucharest, Taubertal Festival in Frankfurt, ecc). Affianca noti e straordinari artisti del calibro di George Benson, David Garfield, Phil Palmer, Mark Mondesir, Robben Ford, Carl Verheyen e molti altri.
Nel 2009 vince l’Emergenza European Acoustic Festival come chitarrista acustico, l’anno seguente si aggiudica il Groove Master Award come Best Italian Blues guitarist; recentemente ha vinto l’Highland Uproar Competition, indetto dall’omonima radio scozzese, con centinaia di voti espressi dagli stessi ascoltatori.
Ormai note le collaborazioni con il Maestro Pippo Caruso, durante il programma televisivo “Domenica IN” (Rai1); con il premio Oscar M° Luis Bacalov, per la composizione “Mediterranean Harbor” prodotta da Walt Disney e con i maestri Franco Piersanti e Nicola Piovani.
Il suo album Born Electric (EmArcy/Universal Music) ospita musicisti di fama internazionale come Robben Ford, David Garfield, Carl Verheyen. Il suo imperdibile tributo a Jimi Hendrix “A Portrait of Jimi Hendrix“, prodotto da Hemiolia Record su nastro analogico, è disponibile in tutti i digital store del Mondo.
Il suo ultimo album “Unconditional Love” è stato prodotto da Steve Jordan e Will Lee e vede la partecipazione di Shawn Pelton, Ricky Peterson e Oli Rockberger.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Davide Pannozzo has been described by critics as one of the most interesting artist’s of contemporary Blues guitar. His style is very much his own with splashes of Jeff Beck, David Gilmour, Eric Clapton and Jimi Hendrix.

Having studied Classical Guitar since the age of six, Davide went on to graduate from the Conservatory of Santa Cecilia in Rome.
During his career he has performed at a number of clubs and festivals in Italy (Pistoia Blues, Ameno Blues, Blues in Town, Accadia Blues, …) and abroad (The Bitter End in NYC, Bass Player in Los Angeles, IBC in Memphis, Ronnie Scott’s in London, Fete de la Musique in Paris,International Jazz Fest in Bucharest, Taubertal Festival in Frankfurt, …) and has played alongside artists such as George Benson, Steve Jordan, Will Lee, David Garfield, Clifford Carter, Phil Palmer and Mark Mondesir to name just a few.
Davide won the Emergenza European Acoustic Festival as Acoustic Solo Guitarist in 2009, followed by the Groove Master Award for Best Italian Blues guitarist in 2010, and most recently the Highland Uproarcompetition where he received hundreds of votes from listeners of the station in Scotland.
His album Born Electric was released by EmArcy/Universal Music featuring very special guests: Robben Ford, Carl Verheyen, and David Garfield.
His Jimi Hendrix tribute, “A Portrait of Jimi Hendrix” features off the floor recordings – with no overdubs – it gets #1 on iTunes top100 Blues Album in Italy and iTunes top100 New Blues Release in the USA.
